New Demo Video Tours

We are happy to announce that new demo video tours are now available at Quintura Site search, explaining the functionality of the:
“New cloud”/”Editing cloud” page
“Clouds” page
”Analytics” page
”Banners” page
”Color scheme” settings

New minicloud settings

enables or disables search results on the minicloud. If search results in your widget are disabled, clicking any word on the minicloud would open your large search cloud. If you have your minicloud search results enabled, you might set other parameters:
and

Annotated Results and Document Date

Also, it is possible to display a number of annotated results in the minicloud. And also to display date and time for each search result in the minicloud and large cloud. These settings are available on the “Minicloud” and “Cloud” tabs of the wizard.

Banners

In tests, the addition of icons and banners to search clouds increased viewers’ interest in the search cloud and dramatically increased the volume of click-throughs.
Affiliates now have the ability to associate images with search terms.
This feature enables publishers to associate an icon with a search term, which, when viewers mouse over it, expands into a banner as shown in the example from http://affiliates.quintura.com. Banners may also be displayed as the first result on a separate Results page. Banners and icons may be added dynamically as desired.
This feature can be found on the ‘Clouds’ administration page.

Color Schemes

No two websites are alike. Affiliates may now define color schemes for their cloud implementation, ensuring a perfect match with any website, as requested by our affiliates.
The Color Scheme panel is available by clicking the button with the same name on the Cloud and Minicloud tabs. Your color changes are automatically applied even if you edit the cloud while your site is still being indexed. We supply a test cloud that will display all color changes once you make these.

Standalone Search Bar

As requested by our affiliates,  this feature enables Quintura Site Search to be implemented as a separate, standalone search bar which is linked to a separate page. When search terms are entered, a new page is opened, displaying a full ‘tag-cloud’ along with a list of results. This approach is particularly powerful for sites with a high volume of archived content. It has also proven to provide the highest click-through rate when used with our new banner display feature.
